We are reviewing the concerns raised in this letter and will be responding in due course.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since taking office, the\u00a0Secretary-General has been strongly committed to supporting the people of Haiti and the fight against cholera. He reiterates\u00a0the\u00a0United Nations\u2019 deep regrets for the loss of life and suffering caused by the cholera epidemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since\u00a0the introduction of the New Approach to Cholera in Haiti, in 2016,\u00a0we have partnered with Haiti to defeat cholera and have seen progress.\u00a0Haiti has not had a single laboratory confirmed case of cholera in\u00a0nearly 15 consecutive months.\u00a0The Secretary-General welcomes this significant progress towards eliminating the\u00a0disease.
